Creative Critical Reflection Update

I am doing the podcast approach for the CCR to answer questions 1 and 2 regarding conventions of films, representation of groups, and how the opening sequence engages with the audience, and plan to do the video essay for questions 3 and 4 addressing the integration of technologies and production skills. Currently, I am still working on the podcast part of the CCR, where I tried to record audio over the weekend of my reflections, but will have to do so again as this current draft (pictured here) has too much background noise and I was unable to get a quiet background to have a clean recording of just me discussing my thoughts. This will be re-recorded going into the week of March 23rd, 2026, for the 1st part of the CCR which I do not expect much trouble to complete with discussion and analysis that will form the basis of the podcast. It also helped that I at least read through what I wanted to say once, so I do expect this second recording to be less choppier and hopefully flows better.

I am still plotting out the video essay, and specifically how I want to approach the CCR whether I am recording my screen of me explaining my choices (falls in nicely with production skills to examine my choices and integrating technologies) along with analysis of a scene and explaining why everything was shot the way it was. This could also be used to reflect on some challenges (and may loop in some elements of questions 1 and 2) for a more complete and comprehensive analysis for the second part of CCR for the course. There is no expected challenges other than finding a quiet background at home and avoiding unnecessary background noise that could degrade the quality of the audio. I will most likely record myself speaking and explaining my choices while interacting with my computer screen, while also using hand gestures where needed to help emphasize my points (in theory, at least).
